Paramount Skydance Plans to Eliminate Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News

Paramount Skydance plans to initiate significant workforce reductions during the week starting 27 October, removing about 2,000 American roles under a expense reduction strategy valued at $2bn led by CEO David Ellison.

These job cuts follow the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized in August with a value of $8.4bn.

Additional international job cuts are likely, with the company aiming to announce full details via its Q3 financial results scheduled for November 10.

Prior news stated that Paramount aimed to reduce between 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.

As of December 2024, the company had almost 18,600 permanent and temporary staff and 3,500 temporary project employees.

Paramount Skydance has not provided a response regarding the report.
